In 1989 Jim Hussmann and a couple of others formed a committee and started the Venice Christmas Boat Parade. They overcame a lot of obstacles but on the 1st Saturday in December, 41 boats decorated in holiday theme completed the parade route, and for 31 years the parade had remained an annual event, until 2020.

      THE PARADE IS BACK and under the direction of our  president, Joe Zgrzepski, the board, and the committee volunteers, our goal is to make this parade the most viewed and talked about holiday show in Southwest Florida.  If you have a boat join us. It doesn't matter if this is your first parade or a continuing participant, nor does it matter how large or how small your boat is, and it doesn't how many decorations you have in place,
